Making his first shoe in 1920, the founder of Adidas, Adi Dassler, had a vision of providing functional footwear for sports. His primary principle has remained to this day, but Adidas has also evolved to offer a huge variety of footwear and clothing that directly addresses street and casualwear. Their designs span from bright colours on traditional styles, to the entirely quirky and fashion inspired. Adidas footwear is not for the fainthearted: this is statement dressing which demands to be shown off, not only for its innovative design, but also for the iconic Three Stripes.
